I'm in the midst of creating a new sculpture series for my upcoming gallery show with Leslie Dunsmore in February. Here is a sample of a new enameled panel which will be backed onto woven copper. Hope everyone who is local is able to attend our show! Our show reception will occur on Saturday, February 21st, from 1 - 4:00 p.m. The Pearl Ellis Gallery is located on Comox Avenue, just past the stop sign on the right hand side. See you there!

I have been enameling since last November and am continually intrigued with the depth and intensity of colour I am able to produce. It is an addictive process! I love etching the copper with layers of glass on top and seeing the pattern come though from underneath. I feel I have found a new medium to incorporate into my sculptures which completely resonates with with every aspect of my being. I have started making enamelled panels to incorporate into my woven copper sculptures. Come out and see what ive been working at the Denman Studio tour this August 16th and 17th, 2014!
![]() Very excited to announce that we will be having an artist run studio tour on Denman this summer scheduled for August 16th & 17th, from 10:00 - 4:00 each day. Mark your calendars and stay posted for news regarding this event and the artists participating in this event. I will be producing a new series of small sculptures incorporating woven copper, woven photographs, enamelled copper, and mixed media; art jewellery; and woven copper mirrors. Hope to see you on the studio tour weekend! The Christmas craft faire is coming up December 7th and 8th on Denman Island. I'm excited to order a kiln to begin enamelling on copper this year for sculptures and art jewellery. These enamelled sculptures can be inside or outside. As they are weather resistant. I'll be posting pictures of new work soon so check in from time to time to see what's new! Look for my booth at the craft faire this year in the Denman Community Hall. Hope to see you at the wonderful event!

The Christmas Faire has come and gone and with the holidays coming to an end i'm back to work. Many thanks to everyone who supported me at the Faire this year, I really appreciate it! We had a great turn out even though the weather was terrible. I've just uploaded new images of the art jewellery i've been working on. Have a look! Happy New Year to you all!
I'm getting ready for the D.I. Christmas Craft Faire coming up on the weekend of Dec 1st & 2nd. I have a new booth location this year. I'm still in the Denman Community Hall, as you come through the door past the first booth on the right, turn right and you'll see my booth straight ahead against the wall. I'm bringing woven mirrors, art jewelery, & my small sculpture pieces out this year. Please stop by if you have a chance! This is a fantastic Faire with so much local talent to peruse. Make a day of it, enjoy a yummy lunch & get your Christmas shopping done early! The Faire is free and shuttle service is provided from the bottom of the D.I. Ferry hill to both halls so you can park and walk on the ferry. For those who are able it's also a short walk up the hill.
